Blackwattle Community Creative Aboriginal Corporation is dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and advancing Aboriginal culture through creative expression, community engagement, and educational initiatives. About Our Foundation
Established in May 2018, Blackwattle Community Creative Aboriginal Corporation (also known as Blackwattle) is an Indigenous-led charity organization based in Moree, NSW. Our organization was founded on the principle that cultural expression and community connection are essential elements for strengthening Indigenous communities.
As a registered charity with operations across all Australian states and territories, we work closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to develop programs that address specific local needs while honoring traditional knowledge and practices.
Our foundation is registered with both the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC), ensuring we maintain the highest standards of governance and accountability.
Our Approach
We believe in a holistic approach to community development that recognizes the interconnectedness of cultural identity, economic opportunity, and social wellbeing. Through collaborative partnerships with community Elders, local organizations, and government agencies, we create sustainable programs that have lasting positive impacts.
